This summer at Campus Crusade’s biennial staff conference Andre was recognized in front of over 6,000 Cru staff for his 50 years of evangelistic programs with the organization.

He was interviewed on stage and shared about the uniqueness of combining ministry and magic, and some of the funny, scarey and clearly divine experiences he has had throughout those past 50 years.  It was great to see the audience respond with an enthusiastic standing ovation. The next day Andre was recognized by the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM), the world’s largest organization for magicians, for his lifetime contributions to the field of magical illusions. It would be easy to assume that this award is given out each year at their convention. However, we learned that in their 91 years of existence this recognition had only been presented one other time, to the Las Vegas superstars of magic, Siegfried and Roy!

Regarding these recent awards, Andre has stated: “My Campus Crusade staff goal for 50 years has been to present the Lord Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit, in such an attractive manner that millions of people would be drawn to Him. Much of my effort this year has been helping others, worldwide, to do the same thing.”
