Sheila and Joshua in the Philippines

A few days ago Sheila and our youngest, Joshua (15) left with a group of 7 others from our church to minister on, and from, the ship, Logos Hope. The Logos Hope is one of the ships operated by Operation Mobilization (OM), and it is currently in dry dock for repairs at Subic Bay, Philippines.

Joshua has been put to work helping with repairs in the ship’s engine room, while Sheila’s first duties have been to help clean and organize the books for the massive onboard book store. Apparently the stock of books has collected a layer of dust from the repairs and maintenance the ship has been going through.

Tonight the team will be doing a prayer walk around the bars in the area, while others with a better command of the local language will be engaging directly in outreach to the locals.
